Mike Tikkanen has owned and operated an auto recycling business, garment manufacturing business, and a small business consulting firm since graduating from college in 1974. He entered the child protection system as a volunteer guardian ad-Litem in the mid 1990s. His book brings public attention to core problems impacting schools, health care, crime, and quality of life for many Americans. He lives in Minnesota with his best friend and wife, Cathy.
